The look up

The only commercial thing here, explained before anybody touches it

There is a flight look up on the front page. This page says what it is, who answers it, where the money comes from, and why it has nothing to do with animals.

What it is

A plain form, written for this site. Give it two places and two dates and it forwards one compact string to a booking host on a subdomain of ours, and from that point the seats, the fares and any money are the host's business. This journal sells nothing itself and is not a booking desk.

The form appears once, on the front page. There is no second copy of it on this page or anywhere else, and no route record mentions it.

The thing this site has to say twice

The look up searches flights for people. It does not arrange anything for an animal, it is not a way to book an animal onto an aircraft, and no page here offers that or knows how.

The address of this site invites the opposite reading, which is exactly why the sentence is printed here, under the form itself, and in the footer of every page.

Where the money comes from

The look up hands your trip to a booking host, and that is where seats, fares and any payment belong. A booking made after using it can pay this journal a commission, which changes nothing about the fare in front of you. It searches flights for people. It arranges nothing for an animal, and no page here does either.

What leaves this page

Nothing at all while you type. The suggestion list travels inside the site, so the first outbound request of any kind happens when a reader chooses to send a trip.

At that point a single string goes over: two place codes, both dates, one cabin letter and three traveller digits. You can read it in the address bar before committing. The privacy policy covers the remainder.

What the desk cannot do about it

Change a booking, cancel one, refund one, find a bag or explain a fare. Those belong to whoever sold the ticket. This journal is not a party to that contract and could not act on it if it wanted to.

Where the host's own terms live

Inside the host's own pages, once the look up has opened. This site links nowhere at all, so there is nothing to read here that belongs to somebody else.
